Benton Lewis

Tactical-Human Performance Specialist,

Coach Benton Lewis was born into an Army Aviation family stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. After duty assignments in Savannah, Georgia, and the Netherlands, Benton and his family returned to the Greater Clarksville Area, where he later earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance from Austin Peay State University.

After graduation, Benton furthered his education by moving to Denver, Colorado, where he attended the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology's Strength and Conditioning and Fitness Coaching program. While in Colorado, Benton volunteered as the Health and Wellness Intern at the Denver Fire Department and began to build the Tactical-Human Performance Institute.

Benton returned to Clarksville during the Spring of 2021 to serve as the Fitness and Wellness Coordinator for Austin Peay University Recreation. While working as the university's resident expert on fitness, Benton began collaborating with Austin Peay Army ROTC to design an ACFT readiness plan for the upcoming academic year. After completing the H2F Trainer course with the 44th Medical Brigade at Fort Campbell, Benton coordinated with Aaron Conklin, an H2F Strength and Conditioning Specialist, to establish and maintain an H2F physical training program for Austin Peay ROTC. Benton and his team now serve as a physical training resource for ROTC programs across the nation

Benton is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, NSCA Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator, and a 44th Medical Brigade's H2F Trainer course graduate.

Benton is an inaugural recipient of the NSCA's 2022 DEI Leadership Award, Eagle Scout, and Director of Sports Performance and Acme Athletics.
